Anyone running the toytec boss lift with there progressive AAL? If so How's the ride on road? I was on the fence between this kit and the kit with 5100's. Made the order and was told front shocks are on backorder for a week. Guess this gives me time to think about my decision!

Thanks for that, but I was hoping someone would chime in with some experience with the BOSS kit and 5100's

I have the boss c/o up front with the wheelers hd progressive aal. rides fine. had to play around with shim and cb drop to get rid of some small vibes.

    Ok thanks

They seem to like this kit at toytec. I went with the progressive AAL and no diff drop as I've read its not need at only2.5" lift. I have a dcsb 4x4.

086.jpg 074.jpg 086.jpg 074.jpg 075.jpg 079.jpg 080.jpg 083.jpg Ok so I pulled the trigger on the Toytec Boss lift kit with the progressive 3 pack AAL. Just a few thoughts on it so far.
My main concern with a lift was ride quality. I really wanted to have a more plush ride from stock and a more controlled ride on city streets and Highway travel, 90% of my driving is on road. I also wanted to keep the rake close to stock as I load the back with a few dirt bikes and gear for off road riding. I had my local tire/service station install the kit and align the truck. $600 bucks for install and alignment.

First impression when I showed up to pick up the truck was how much higher it sat. Toytec says they set up C/O for 2.5" lift...Think I'm closer to 3. I have not measured it but it sure looks it.
I'm running new TRD wheels mounted up with Michelin ltx 265/70/17's (love these tires) and only get tire rub on the little flap up in the front wheel well, I'm going to remove them.

So the kit has improved the ride 100% over the stock setup. No longer do the cracks in the road jar your teeth, speed bumps are just sucked up and non jarring! I'm very pleased with the ride quality the kit has provided.

The AAL raised the rear a bit more than I wanted and I do get a very small vibration off the start at stop sighs for the first few seconds, hardly noticeable. I'm on the fence on removing the overload leaf to drop the rear a bit. If I do this I will probably drop the front 1/4" to balance things out. I contacted Toytec and they said to give it a few weeks foe things to settle.

    Bottom line...Thumbs up!

I have no idea why the photos duped? Sorry.

Ordered exact same BOSS kit with progressive AAL - installing it this saturday and will report back with results.. I plan on getting rid of the overload lead spring right off the bat for better ride quality

yep, I took the rig back and had the overload removed too. another $160 bucks. thinking of taking one more leaf out to level it, but going to give it time to settle. Running around wit 200lbs of sand bags in the bed and it rides great and set's just right.
