Well I was told the 17th my fenders were shipped out From John at Glassworks. I have called and called to get a shipping # and Tim finally emailed me today saying their air compressor crapped out and that my stuff should ship monday now. They charged my debit card Jan 5th for these parts. So what do I need to do to get my money back, call my bank and the better business bureau? Also any comments on fiberwerx fenders?

fiberwerx are supposed to be good apparently, I have fiberwerx bedsides and they took way more trimming than they should have to get into place, while most people say their bedsides took minimal trimming, mine were very likely warped. I would personally try a different company my next time around but seems like every company is pretty shitty all around from what I hear

What company should I go with to run 37's with a 3 inch lift? Glasswerx one peice front clip says you can run 37's with 4 inches of lift but the fenders only say 35's. I need help.

    Call your bank.

This is standard business practices for Glassworks. They have some of the best glass out there but their customer service sucks.

    Non-LT truck?

The fiberglass is the least of your worries.

You're going to have to gut your sheet metal inner fenders up front and remount all that shit in the engine bay that's mounted to them. Plus cab chop like a mother and beat the firewall back. Even then, without the added track width that tire will be so tucked in the fender well you still might not clear the cab mount / frame when you turn, let alone when you stuff the wheel offroad.

The guys clearing 37's are clearing because their front ends are 3-4" wider each side, which gets that tire out of the fender well area some. Or they have swapped in a solid from axle and have more ride height.

I recently ordered from Glassworks. Waited 30 days for receipt. Nothing. So I sent a email and was told my parts are 20 day lead times. And they would get back to me. Funny it had been a month since my credit card was charged. I waited 30 more days. Replied to old email I received saying some one would check my order. No answer. Called 2 more times. Then discovered all the comments on Tacoma world. I called AMEX and disputed the charge.
I called Kartex Off-road and they think they can have mine in by end of the month.
BEWARE dealing with glass works. Unless you can pick them up in person, I'd use a authorized vendor to order them.mwish I had found this site befor I placed my order with Glasswork.

Yeah most fiberglass companies are like that sadly, I got lucky and kartek had my bedsides in stock when I called them so I got to avoid that. Im considering selling my tt bedsides if thats what youre looking for..

Im gonna give Kartek a shot. They seemed like they are willing to go the extra mile.

I had the same problem. I ended up waiting and finally got my glass after 4 months i think. But I called every day and left comments on their instagram page if I couldn't get a hold of them.

I ordered a set of Engage bedsides during their last Black Friday sale and only this weekend had the time to try the install. Anyone familiar with me or my truck knows that I don't shy away from extensive modifications to make stuff work, but I'm pretty sure these will end up in the trash. They're that bad.

The body lines aren't followed, the mounting points are off by inches, the tail light openings are laughably wrong, the driver and passenger sides aren't even close to symmetrical, etc. Trimming can make things mount up but it's the body lines that make these unworkable. I like giving the little guys a shot by giving them my business but in this case it bit me in the ass. I'm embarrassed to have these mounted on my truck.

Tim at Glassworks is widely acknowledged to be a straight faced liar, but he gets away with it because his products (when you finally receive them) are quality. Order through a reseller like Kartek because, while Tim doesn't give a crap about you, he cares about his business relationships. Find a company that cares about customer service, buy from them, and let them battle him for shipping details.

Wow those are shit, I thought the fiberwerx ones I got were bad at first but they just took a lot of trimming! but yeah those are not ok.

As a heads up to future readers, tim at dmz fab (not the same tim at glassworks) says he usually gets glassworks fiberglass in about 7 days so yes youre probably better off going through a distributor than ordering individually

I have not. Like I said, I only found this mess today, 7-8 months after I received the parts. I wouldn't expect them to do much since their molds are what they are, shipping costs almost as much as the bedsides, and I've already hacked these to bits attempting to make them work.

I'm not looking for a refund or anything -- just wanted to give others a heads up on what they'd potentially be buying.

Damn those do fit like garbage. And like mjp2 said once you get your glass from glassworks they do fit nicely.

A little late to the party here but are you really surprised Mike? How they continue to stay in business after multiple kit failures due to poor craftsmanship, horribly incorrect suspension geometry, horrendous fitment issues and an all around bad reputation among the entire off road community that knows anything is beyond me.

I figured fiberglass was not a safety concern so I gave it a shot. Pretty disappointed, obviously. Glad I didn't toss my old shattered bedsides because I'll be repairing those and sticking with the flat-top look for the time being.

I used roadrunner, they had the glass finished in 5 days like they said they would. Order finished on time, picked it up on time, and required minimal trimming to mount the bedsides. Overall pretty happy, the glass might be a little thinner than some others but not too big of a deal and they come with a black rubber coating on the insides for durabiity.
