    The C&R (possibly) of my collection. The only legible markings (serial number is unreadable) is the manufacturer stamp of "Western Arms Company, NY". The only thing I can find about this is reference to that company name making cap lock revolvers during the Civil War.

    Hey guys, I got an SVT-40 2 weeks ago and whenever I shoot it it triggers a migraine (pisses me off, sweet shooting gun other than that)

    My scar16 and my m&p 10. The m&p10 is new in that photo. She's since been decked out in magpul moe furniture and the trigger has been replaced. Still undecided on the optic, but I had the spare eotech so I threw it on for now.

    The m&p 10 is a little deceptive in terms of barrel thickness. It's about twice as big in diameter under the handguard. It's tapered for weight, but I wouldn't categorize the m&p 10 as a pencil barrel. There are a number of reviews out there with pictures to kinda show it. The benefit is a 9.5 lb .308 (unloaded).

    As far as the scar, it's absolutely a pencil barrel and for my shooting habits it hasn't been an issue. FN makes a great barrel. With a loaded magazine that rifle is right around 9 lbs. 3500 rounds down the pipe and my groups have always been consistent whether it's my first or 250th for the day. While I'm not doing mag dumps all the time, I'm also not a one round every-ten-minutes either.

    Wouldn't mind a thicker barrel. Wouldn't say it's essential, either.
