I could roast a whole cow in this oven.

Here's the thing, ive dismantled BMWs, Audis like this, including my own 95 M3. If this was BMW, every clip would be broken, the mounting tabs off every panel would be broken, pleather material would be peeling off panels, and you would need sets of internal torx, hex, tiny philips, and many many sockets and panel wedges.

I took the whole thing apart with a panel wedge, a standard phillips screwdriver, and a 14, 12, and 10mm socket. Not one clip or tab broke. This is the easiest teardown ive ever done.

I was going to ask where you would ever mount a sub in this truck, but that thin under seat subwoofer is pretty slick. Have you tried it? Does it give a nice tingle if youre are sitting above it?

    I have Crutchfield's 8" powered sub.

If you go in expecting bass generated from a slim powered 8" sub, you will not be disappointed. If you go in expecting to rattle the filings loose in your teeth, you will be.

And my GF loves it when she's riding shotgun.

putting some on the inside sheet metal of door helps alot too. Youl hear the difference when shutting the door.

Interesting. I'll do the same test with my underseat 8" Crutchfield sub. And post the video.

That is nice, you guys are giving me more stuff to buy that i cant afford. Also i already mounted the amp under my passenger seat, so it would have to go under the drivers. Not sure how much i would want to be right on top of that.

I put Subaru Forester seats in my truck. The driver's side is power adjustable so the motor sits low beneath the seat. Only my amp would (barely) fit under there. The sub had to go under the passenger side.

Like I said though, the GF kind of likes it.

so before I order this kit, how much do you have left over? did you only use half of it or even less then half of it?

if so I could buy what you have left to do mine if it would be enough to do the back wall, cab corners, and doors

I only have 1.5 sheets of the raammat left over and little bit more than that of the ensolite.

Like I said, had I started with my doors first then worked my way back I would have covered the rear quarter panel in the extra raammat and ensolite that I have left over.

    Also:

    1. Definitely cover the back of the kicker panels with ensolite. There's a lot of noise that comes through there.
    2. Line the back of each speaker bracket with a little bit of ensolite too. It'll prevent plastic-on-metal vibrations when the speaker is sending out signal.

    thanks, that's great info

when you said you had "plenty" left over I thought you were implying the kit was oversized for our needs, like you said, starting with the doors, any extra left overs can just be added to the back wall to double it up
