Checking in with you guys, hope I'm not interrupting the lift discussion. Even if I am, I have a very important news story!

Finally got my SOS rock sliders on and snagged some FJ wheels. Been a successful and productive time home!

    That is all.

Don't use a diff drop on a 2nd gen. Good way to starve the gears of oil.

On a different note. Do Not do a DB lift. I'm so happy with my 3 in. Flexes like a champ, rides great and you can put skid plates on it that aren't custom. Oh yea and they wheel better.

Ok I've changed my mind once again. I think I'm going with a 3" lift and 33s or 34s

Very good decision. If you need help with the install let us know. It's not overly difficult to do as long as you've got a garage and the tools

Just signed up today after getting my 2010 yesterday. Would like to see who is around this part of the country. Got plans on lifting in the future and would not mind some wisdom.
Looking forward to what everyone has to say.
P.S. I have to first really find out what model I have. I bought a commercial truck that has a commercial cab so no tailgate with the ID on it.

I can give you this one pic only for now. If I need to take other pics from different angles to figure out what model I have, let me now.

Bandit hit the nail on the head. I was going to guess SR5 also. Definitely not a sport, no hood scoop.

On another note, VB E8? If you are, you know my sons.

Hey everyone. Finally back up on interwebz. I have been transferred down south. Thank you everyone who has helped with my truck and have lead to draining my wallet. Hopefully I will find as good of people down here in Louisiana.

after looking at the different suspension options it sounds like icon/fox/king/radflo offer a softer ride but are high maintenance and ome/bilstien are stiffer but are low maintenance. Has this been the case with yall?

the maintenance is the same. icon/fox and such are rebuildable instead of replacing like ome/bilstein. that wont come into play for quite a while though when they are worn out. as far as ride you are correct.
