LED reverse bulbs Philips 12841B2

Mine just arrived. Install this evening.

 

Damn, they sure are proud of those lights based on the price! Look forward to the output pictures.

 

I thought the $28/pair was a fair price, especially for the output. The LED turn signals I plan to get from theretrofitsource are pretty steep at $45/pair, but I spoil my baby sometimes.

 

Whiter/brighter/dimmer arguments aside... I do not see as well on the back up camera screen with the LEDs installed. Things seemed much better lit with the incandescent Silverstar 921s. My theory crumbles...

 

if these LEDs had them on the side it would be better. as of now they shoot directly back instead of taking advantage of the reflector bezel which would give more light coverage.

 

They're actually designed to fire back, hit the cone and reflect sideways, hit the stock reflector and shine out.

 

I thought it was a good design as it mimics the location of the light source in an incandescent bulb, therefore making use of the reflector bowl.
