Hi everyone! I have been lurking on Tacoma World for years now and have received so much good information and tips that I felt I should start contributing.

I am originally from Western NY; having to deal with the snow and long, cold winter months. After I graduated with my Bachelors of Science in Welding Engineering from Ferris State in Michigan I moved back home and took a job as an Engineer at a company 40 miles from my house. To deal with the commute in the winter (no highway just lots of poorly plowed back roads) I bought my first Tacoma. It was a 2006 regular cab, 4x4, 4-cyl, 5-speed base model in silver. I loved it and it suited me very well during the winter months, never stopping no matter what the conditions were like.

Those were some fun times and I drove that truck to and from work for 2 years before packing everything I owned (I lived with my parents so not much) into the 6 foot bed and driving the 1,200 miles to St Petersburg, Florida in pursuit of a new adventure and following a girlfriend who was accepted to law school down there. Unfortunately, the job I took in Florida (another Engineer position) required a 1 and a half hour commute through some of the worst stop and go traffic I had ever encountered. I didn't want to drive the standard in that mess so sold the Tacoma for a Camry for better gas mileage and comfort.

In no way was I deterred, however, from one day having another Tacoma. 2 more years passed and I moved closer to work (only 7 minutes away now!) and saw my opportunity to buy another Tacoma. I searched the local ads for weeks until one day I found the perfect truck. It was a 2010 access cab, 4x4, 4-cyl, 5-speed base model in silver with only 40,000 miles on it. I took it for a test drive and it really brought me back. If I had one complaint about my last truck it was the inability to adjust the bench seat and lean it back. There was just no room. The access cab with the bucket seats in the front solved that and I am much more comfortable.

I have been driving this new truck for a year now and could not be more pleased. I would like to thank Tacoma World for all the ideas and information on these great trucks I have read and utilized over the years.
