Yeah, can't hurt to pump them up to give it a try. I actually think it may have been closer to 42 for the front and 40 rear. It's been a few years since I had them.

I'm at 42 front, 40 rear with cap and tools! 9" wide wheel, 285s! Excellent wear characteristics!

You're in a larger E rated tire, 40 is probably the same as his smaller C rated tire at 35 ride wise.

More than likely! All depends on weight over the tires I guess! Lower psi definitely rode "spongier", but the handling seems better at the higher psi!:p

If I wanted a soft, cushy ride, I'd have an early 70s Cadillac!:D I could probably tow and haul just as much too!

You would have to swap that snorkel over the old Caddy...

Probably just run the intake into the glove box...next to the dead body that would fit there!

I'm running it at 36 now...will do the chalk test when it's dry, it just has a little more vibration at ~55 -60 but it's more aggressive too so guess that's just the characteristic of the tire

If you have stock wheels they should fit. If you have a wheel with less offset they will rub slightly at full lock.

My daughter was doing a tire inspection and noticed this new damage on the sidewall of the Duratrac.

Tires are at about 40K miles now.

    She probably saved our lives.

Just got back from another long trip (3 cross country since purchase) and no prob. Sitting at around 37k. Wear still looks like another 10-15k. It doesn't ride like a Michelin, but that wasn't what I got the tires for. It's an aggressive AT tire.

How's the noise level on a cross-country trip? I'm considering these for my next tire. Currently have Cooper MTs and the noise is getting annoying. It was cool for a while, but I drive way too much during the week and want to check out what people have to say with some real world experience. I like the look and the tread pattern. I'm also sure they're great in the dirt and mud, but what about all the highway miles in between? Any help is appreciated...

I put about 40,000 on mine and the noise level was good up until the last 5,000 or so, thought a bearing was going. My dynapro MTS seem to be less and in general better.

I have no issues with noise up to this point. It is not as quiet as a normal highway tire; but, it is not a highway tire. My stereo is typically on (not very loud), so tire noise issues are virtually zero.

Thanks for the responses guys. I'm currently shopping around for new tires and wanted something a little less noisy than my current mud terrains, but not quite all-terrain. I really like the Toyo RTs, but $350 a piece? Sheesh! This looks like it will be my next purchase.

Did you do the chalk test? I run mine at 35-37psi on road (but they are smaller and C rated) 50 seems a lot (I still get ~330mls before the light comes on)
