Yes got the DRS figured out. I don't know if they did a update or what but know when you pass the DRS zone it now flashes until you hit the button. Wasn't doing that at first.

I've only slightly changed a few things but tend to stick with the generic settings without changing too much. Do you have your controller mapped to the triggers for acceleration and braking? Seems to make it much easier (for me) to modulate the throttle and brake.

Yes that's the one. I either hit it perfectly or end up running off the course wide right which kills my lap time. Sometimes it seems like I'm doing everything a fraction of a sec too late.

Yes , triggers for accel / brake

I use headphones and the DRS emits a beep when you can activate it

At Bus Stop I usually brake slightly before the red zone on the track guide , gear down from 8th to 3rd before turn in , hit the curb on the right , drop to second gear , take a lot of the curb on the left , try to straighten the car as soon as possible which should aim you towards the right hand curb at the very beginning of the pit straight which ideally you only have the right side of the car on

The biggest issue is not carrying too much speed at first turn in , if you miss the first apex it's impossible to not run wide on the second part

I tried 3 laps earlier with the controller. That chicane gets me, too. And about 7 other corners. I'll need to drag the steering wheel out.

You have to do almost all your braking in a straight line , get slowed down before turn in

Exactly. Then ease into the throttle on the exit of the turn.

1:51:143 at Spa is my best so far , I knocked out 44 time trail laps in a row , getting a feel for limiting lock up and wheel spin under acceleration

That's a damn good time brother! I've started messing around with different settings. Some good, some I make worse. I like how in depth it is and how you can save the settings you like for each individual track. Thing about spa is it has gotten in my head. I can nail every corner without issue but there is always the last turn in my mind and it has become a mind game with me as to whether I can make it through smoothly. Putting together a perfect lap is satisfying. But fucking it up gives you another 1:50 mins to think about the last turn and whether you can make it through it or not.

I have Bus Stop pretty much figured out , I need to make up some lap time in the rest of the corners

I think I've run that track so much that the turn in's throughout the track are not a problem. I know exactly where I need to be on the track for each turn. Just that last turn is hit or miss. I'll get it figured out.

Since you used the Mercedes I figured I'd try the Ferrari.

Very first lap in it 1:50:201 and I still fucked up the last corner.

    Bring it :)

I was wondering if there actually are performance offsets between the different cars in the game

I thought about that myself. I'll give you a little hint. Won't give you "all" my set up but I suggest moving the ballast back just a touch. Okay... one more hint... I used the rumble strips to scrub off a little speed during the corners so I don't have to hit the brakes as hard.

Yeah... I don't really follow the suggested line.

I short shift to limit wheel spin under acceleration , I watched an onboard video of Alonso running the circuit last season he did the same

Try the Ferrari and see if it feels different to you. I know the Lotus does.
