What mount in particular? They probably aren't all identical. There is a Toyota part number associated with every weldment on the frame. I will dig up the # but like I said I probably need to know which one.

If it was me I would buy one from Oklahoma or Texas. Short drive and no rust.

If a family is in the works save yourself the 10 grand you will pay in "Tacoma Tax" and buy yourself a 3rd Gen 4Runner and a utility trailer I tell ya. Plus if you want a manual you will never find a factory manual DC.

#2 are the ones towards front of doors, #3 are rear of cab. I assume these are the rustiest ones because they collect dirt and grit which holds moisture and "liquid car be-gone".

4runners are nice but loading up a trailer seems like a lot of work for fishing gear as mountain bikes. Plus I can't back up a trailer to save my life xD

I take my 4runner fishing a lot and just got a bike rack. Guess it depends how much gear your taking. You may not really need a trailer unless your doing an expedition type trip.

I am finally making some progress on the frame swap. I throw a few pics up on TW Live occasionally but for those that don't ever follow that here are a few recent ones.

Everytime I look at this frame I am amazed the guy was driving it. This is just a typical area on the back half. The plate on the left is an old repair that was done.

    Incredibly weak.

    And Messy.

I got tired of walking around the ass end so I bend this up by hand very easily. Basically the bed was holding the ass end of the truck together.

Last weekend I finally got the cab off and out of my way.

The rear leafs were shot. I dunno what all he carried around but I do know that the truck had a topper for all of its life. From my pile of donor leafs I came of with a "frankenpack" out of two sets of factory leafs and one partial set of All-Pros. The two bottom leafs are out of the All-Pro pack with the option of adding the two that aren't bolted in.

Here is how it currently sits as of last night. I was wanting to remove the whole front end, diff, CVs, UCA, LCA, splindle, steering rack etc. as a whole and just put it on the new frame as an assembly but my LCA bushings laughed at that idea. I am now looking for three cam bolts as I was only able to remove one of mine intact. This means I will have to replace the bushings too because the sleeve is sieved on it.
