    Hi everyone,

I went to the Canadian Tacoma Tour in Cochrane, Alberta today. Got to poke around the truck a little bit, and take some photos of a prototype TRD Sport DCLB.

More detail shots overall just because there were a fair number of people around, making good full exterior shots difficult. Hopefully some of these are things people haven't seen yet, or were looking to see.

Mods, if you would prefer I put these into an existing thread, please let me know!

I wasn't a fan of the red color matched trim, but overall I thought it was a pretty substantial improvement over the 2nd Gen. Felt more expensive, and a bit roomier inside (given that they've made the door cards thinner and other space efficiency improvements). More soft touch points. More tech (push button start, additional screens, automatic climate control, etc) if you like that (which I personally do). Sunroof was nice.

They also moved some items up to the roof console, such as traction control (on the Sport), which I liked. Also a fan of the new instruments with the screen in the middle.

Did you notice if the sunroof compromised the headroom? I have the same truck on order, except for the colour.

I think you should be fine then!

I bought a 2015 TRD Sport in October of last fall thats barely broken in. I'll certainly give the 3rd Gen a test drive when they're on the lots, but I don't think I'll rush into an upgrade unless the drive really grabs me.

    Are the fender flares plastic?

I guess there are no more mudflaps?

If you look in the first picture you can see the rear mudflaps and a shadow for the front mudflaps.

I actually didn't think to try and get down under the rear end. Not sure I'd be able to tell the difference to be honest though.

I liked it more in person than in any photos I'd seen up to that point.

WANT! Stick a fork in me, I'm well done!!

Thanks for posting your pics. Did you happen to ask when they're going to release MPG figures and overall dimensions of the truck? Trucks are arriving in some dealerships this month and next month and still no specs, Canadian trim levels or CDN pricing have been released.. :( What's the hold up?

Didn't get a solid answer for any of the MPG questions I asked. First drives for the press are in a couple weeks, so I was told not to expect anything before then. Might see them released when all the magazines/websites start releasing their driving impressions after whatever embargo Toyota will put on that.

As far as dimensions, just going off seeing it in person, I think its fairly close to the 2nd Gen. Maybe a touch wider/longer, but that could be down to the new look.
