I've removed the positive battery cable when I'm parked so I don't drain the battery

Sounds like you need to take a trip to the dealer. Something electrical is happening.

Those relays should be easy to find at your local picknpull. I always carry spare relays for HL, TL, and EFI.

Under the hood in a black fuse box. It should have a diagram of the fuses and relays printed on it or on the under side of the lid. Its behind the battery on the second gen, I dont know about the first.

I would recommend disconnecting your negative terminal rather than your positive because the positive cable terminal lug could touch something that is metal (grounded) and short the battery.

Was the relay your problem? I have a similar problem and the relay didn't fix it.
