Imagine trying to buy mods for the 16. I can't say I like the front of the truck. Headlight shape, the grill. I'm sure they could have done something better than that. The engine has no blower avail... The interior at first look does look functional and different (newer) but it almost looks domestic dare I say?... Plastic.

Most of our tractors and heavy equipment were push button start...you had to put in a key then push the button...but hey!

I don't really consider the 4.0 old skool...over head cams, efi, VVT-i, coil packs.....consider the 20R old skool...

I dunno, the dash reminiscent of the early 80's trucks, going back to the horizontal look....they have been pretty plasticy for awhile now...last of the steel dashes were in the FJ40 series.

I guess you're right but you know what I'm getting at. My 09 TSX with Tech was a bit of s nightmare. My 2011 and 2012 Golf GTIs both had push button start and I wasn't fond. My fully loaded 2014 Santa Fe Sport 2.0T Limited AWD...was a joke.

At least the 4.0 is efi and not GDI. Having owned 3 GDI engines...no thanks. Like I said, 'old school'...of the 21st century. :amen:

ha ha! some of you kids are funny when you say "old skool" :D

well you are talking about VW's and Hyundais. :p

The one plus of key fob push button is, if you have a lot of keys, the weight of them is hard on a keyed ignition switch over time.

....and that's why I have two key fobs. One with my truck key and house key, and another key fob with the rest.

Kid?!? I'm far from being a kid, unless of course we're talking about my personality disorder.

I think deep down, in the gunch of the taint, die hard Tacoma fans are pissed because we all know the best model only got 4 years of production.

I would never offroad that beauty, so it'd be useless to me. Pretty show piece though.

I'm not going to lie I'm very tempted to bring in a mid 90's, after the head and exhaust exploder Diesel, Hilux as my next trail rig. A few places up here can import trucks in decent shape for under $10K CAD. Only thing that sucks is, from what I've read, that series of diesels only gets about 21-22 mpg so I won't be saving any money running that truck.
