I have a 2013 taco. The accelerator pedal seems stiff to push. It also feels like I am always 'pushing the truck'. Is this normal. Also it shifts at 2k. is this normal

    Thanks

The skinny pedal on my 2014 is the same way...I feel like it's starting to get better. Coming from a turbo 4 banger, it feels like I'm really stomping on the Tacoma just to get it to move.

I've a brand new '15 TRD OR, and noticed the same stiff accelerator characteristic from the get-go. In fact, that's how I found this forum, googling an explanation or cure. I thought there might be something wrong with the system. As Willyc stated, feels like I'm always pushing the truck.
I've not got a chance to look real close at the accelerator linkage, but wonder if there's a way to lessen the spring forces somewhere in the system.

There is no linkage. Electronic gas pedal.... It will get better or you learn to ignore it...

I guess that's the new way for auto makers. My wife's Corolla has electric linkage throttle and brakes, and I think, steering.
