I don't know if this is in the right section but I just got a firestik antenna as an upgrade from my magnetic one. Where did y'all mount yours? I'd love to see some pics as to where/how. Thanks.

Chicken lights, chrome and smoke tunes.
Most people mount them to their toolbox. But if you dont have a toolbox you can mount it to the inside of the bed.

I've got mine mounted on the front fender but with how much that thing whips around I think I'm gonna move it to the bed

If you don't have a cover or cap on your bed. If you have the rails you can mount some type of bracket to the rails and put the antenna on the bracket. just a thought.

I am looking to do the same if I can't get the door mount bracket to work. How long is the coax that you used and where did you go in to the cab?

I think it was a ten foot long piece and I ran it inside the cab at the rubber plug on the back left corner of the cab.

I have a Willson 5000 mounted in the hood channel on the driver's side of my truck with a Select Accessories channel mount for Toyota truck. Bought it at www.westcoastmall.net. There was a hole that went through the fendor, so I mounted it there. It looks balanced with the radio antenna on the right and the CB on the left. I will have to get a picture of it. It's been on there for 4 years and I haven't had any problems.

How did you end up bolting that to your truck? The problem I have run into is that you cant exactly fit anything to screw the nuts onto the bolts.
    Thanks,
    Charlie

Wilson superflex on light bar bracket. Quick disconnect. Easily reach up and pull 'er off if need be. Or not and leave it on and hit shit with it, doesn't seem to hurt this antenna one bit... Love it.

4' Firestick on a CBI ditch light mount. Very sturdy and clean. Plus its right next to the firewall inlet which makes for a much shorter antenna cable.
