So does anybody know were to find/buy forged pistons for a 5VZ-FE.
I kinda wanna supe one of these V6's (and the rest of the truck) so im playing with the ideas of a blower, 7th injector, cams, studs, solid drive shaft, rear locker, headers, rear disc brakes and a total rebuild of the lil V6. All i need to complete my list is forged pistons as i here that they are the weak points. (the crank and rods being good up to 500hp)

Lol now call me crazy but in all seriousness that's alot more expensive (believe it or not XD) I could get the ls for about $500 (I know a guy) then a new tranny ($1800+) new differential ($500-1000) new front suspension (omg I don't even know anywhere from 1400-3000) but I'd love to.

I wasn't expecting them to lol. From all that I'd expect at least 300hp, I've seen others make it happen. Really the only bottom end piece that needs updating is the pistons

    LS it and be done.

You'll have 5k in a high strung 5vz that won't crack 350 hp, plus a trans that isn't going to hold the power either. Find a 6.0 with an NP263 behind it and have a reliable 360hp with a drivetrain that will hold up to the power too. Chevy made a million 6.0/ 4L80E/ 263 combos so it'll be way less to LS swap than build.

Don't crush OP's dreams. I myself am quite interested in seeing someone do more than just slapping on the supercharger and 7th injector. I'm excited for you OP. Good luck! :)

Im now thinking of a 4-cylinder swap and build...not being able to get forged pistons is probaly why people dont do as much crazy stuff to there V6's...Still looking tho
