This section has been all over the place for months now. Since Toyota has been too scared to release HP, torque, mpg figures we have to entertain ourselves somehow. Production starts this month and we have nothing except knowing that a 38k TRD sport can climb over a tiny rock with one wheel.

the new engine will be fine, but meh...seems like most are hating on the exterior, the new engine...but people tell themselves but at least it will be reliable! it sucks everywhere else though...typical toyota...we wait and wait for a new generation...and it is a let down.

I like the interior...but that doesn't really matter...I fuck 'em up pretty quick. It will be filled with dust, mud, spilled coffee, saw dust, concrete dust, fish/bird/deer guts, blood, ketchup stains, grease...food crumbs...

If by most you mean everyone here that wants the Tacoma to become the 1st generation Tacoma, which is about 2% of actual Tacoma owners, then yes you are right.

In person the new Tacoma looked pretty good in inferno orange. I won't be rushing to trade in my truck, but it's a very nice looking truck none the less. The overbite is the only thing that is a bit odd, but only when you are looking at the front of the truck directly from the side.

The general consensus is that the truck is ugly and that Toyota phoned it in. To me the biggest dislike on the new Tacoma is how the cab skins look totally different from the front and rear of the truck. I think if Toyota had added a couple more flowing creases on the doors they could have blended it better and it might not have looked like a Frankentruck. Certain aspects of the gen 3 have grown on me, but I still catch myself looking at it and thinking "What the f&*k were they thinking?".
