I have been experimenting with different packing material when shipping two hubs. I believe it all comes down to the postal workers that handle the packages. Pretty sure this is how I expect every package of mine to be delivered.

Thanks to NJ636 the wobbley leg of the truck its fixed. I was super pleased with the shipping, tracking and communication. The assembly was extremely easy to install and I'm happy that he saved me a few hundred dollars by doing it myself. ANYONE can do this if you have a half of a brain and a 3 or 4 beers.

Just received my order yesterday. Very impressed.

Question about the swap out - I read somewhere that you have to apply grease to an o-ring or something. Am I dreaming this and it's just a take-off and slip on - tighten down kinda thing or is there actually an o-ring somewhere that needs grease?

Sorry for the dumb question.

 

simply remove the old assembly -- clean out the spindle very well with a rag and maybe some brake clean if needed. you can apply some grease to the o-ring on the back of the assembly but it is not needed. insert the new assembly and follow the install procedure.

Hey man, just a quick question you've probably answered many times, but I'm getting ready to do the wheel bearings on my truck.. I just bought the bearing assembly and will do the press work myself. Just curious about the o-ring - where does it go?
