42" Light bar mounting on roof rack

I just finished wiring an OTRATTW switch and mounted DIY brackets in between the roof rack but realized once I got the brackets in place that I made them too short, therefore the light bar will not clear the roof. Anybody know of the proper length to make the brackets so that the bar will clear the roof? Thanks in advance
