Says the guy with OME lift that still has VSC go nuts periodically and can't figure out why.

A lot. Check out my build page.
Build YOUR truck the way YOU want. I was going to get the TRD Pro as well but once pricing was announced, I went right in and scooped up a TRD Off Road for $30K and have been building it piece by piece myself.

Last week I put on the TRD cat back exhaust and the TRD Pro grille that I picked up! Just ordered the color matched MGM grille surround yesterday so I can do away with that ugly chrome in front.

Some guys above me here make valid points.....the suspension on the TRD Pro ain't worth the money. My lift will be the most expensive thing I do to my truck and I wanted something REALLY good. So far looking at the Fox Ultimate kit from ToyTec. Pricey but way better than the upgraded Bilstein they put on the Pro.

Do what you want, spend what you want to make it yours and don't let the haters detract from your build. Had a guy up my ass yesterday about spending over $100 on the color match grille because to him it was a waste of money when you can just spray paint the MGM color match paint on top of chrome and add some clear coat to make it work for less than $20. Didn't even want to argue with him over resale of a spray painted body part, the fact that painting chrome is a HORRIBLE idea and at the end of the day....MY truck is MY truck. I save money and then spend it on parts I want for MY truck.

Tacomas are fun to build and easy to do so. Just do it your way and tell everyone else to piss off.

Keep this in mind. Every dollar you drop in mods is a sunk cost, the money goes bye bye, you wont get a penny back if you trade in / sell it. Unless you can unscrew the mod and take it off its money gone that you will NOT get back.

Unlike with the pro you will atleast be able to get some money back as they are factory and more desirable come sale time since they were produced at the factory.

Like the guy above me said. Build the truck the way you want, everyone else can pound some sand.

Salesmen are infamous for being absolute morons when it comes to understanding the products they are selling, keep that in mind.

An OME lift and bigger tires causes VSC issues?

I know that Toyota recommends sticking with the stock size tire, but I'm looking at getting an OME lift with a leer shell and bigger tires, nothing crazy but definitely a little bigger. I hope this won't negatively affect my VSC or 4x4?

And for all the talk of building a better truck cheaper that keeps being thrown out there, why is there so much stuff taken off trucks when they are sold.....gee guess all the high priced build stuff doesn't really add much to the value or saleability of most trucks eh?
