I always use hand signals but lots of the 4wjeeler crowd just waves like a fool. Lol and then almost award shit themselves when they come around the corner on the wrong side of the road. Lol I guess my front bumper and grille are intimidating lol

I'm sure that would have been helpful when we had a 19-truck group lol

It was a different 4 runner I'm very sure

Lucky with these night runs we have the whole park to ourselves. Little hard to signal off 19 trucks. During riding season I rather just go off the trail and blaze my own if I can.

That is not a diy job, you need a press, bearing pullers, tools to check the back lash, the knowledge of what you're doing....

Carrier and Pinion bearings. To echo Tyler, this isn't a job you can do with little to no experience. To many variables and if you set it up wrong its going to be full of broken teeth before your next oil change.

John, you being long travel, I would to to 4.56 gears since you will end up moving to 35" tires rather than keeping the 33s.

The only way this can be a weekend project is if you trade complete third members, Given that they are from the same style diff housing.

Yeah I also remember reading about certain 3rd's not working within the 8.4" differentials as well. I'm not sure if that's still a problem with the newer trucks but there was a fitment problem for people that wanted to swap lsd and or open to e-lockers and vice versa.
