they have a "34" size now if you want a step below 35s...not quite as much massaging of the firewall to fit a "34"

so far they are very quiet for an MT

but i'm coming directly from the STT with 40k on them...they were getting pretty loud

but so far i've only driven them 10-15 miles...

got a trip up to the mountains for Addicted Offroad's Toyota Jamboree so i'll have some better ideas after the weekend on some of the characteristics

I have 285x75R17 now in a ATII which is 33.9. When I was looking at the tire specs the STT Pro's closest without going down is a 315x70R17.
I'm not sure I need a MT in the desert. Especially when the bulk of my driving is street. I've had great luck with the ATII out here. From rocks, sand to mud, I've been able to get through. I just got the ATIIs back on last weekend.

    the 295/70r17 isn't a bad option...slightly smaller...would fall into the "34" range

i was pushing them to do a 305/70r17...close, but the 295 would be a good option if you didn't want to chop and beat as much but get more than a 33" in there...

they don't even have the 315/75r16 on their site yet, which they obviously will have available, so i'm curious to see what other sizes they roll out in this

Ill see you there man, we can compare notes on the STT Pros. I've got about 1500 miles on mine so far, not too loud and roll smooth on the street up to 80. They did well around Ouray a couple weeks ago also. I have noticed that being new and an E range tire they like to be aired down to pretty low.

Hell I was just glad to see I can lean on his truck again without getting all dirty. It's a miracle.

But he had to do something so the brand new rubber would blend in. :p

Seeing them up close the tread design is really unique. Lots of break up and very little pattern which should keep harmonic sounds to a min. I still think they could use more siping in the design but then that becomes a balance of grip vs tread life I guess. This tire is definitely at the top of my list when I need tires again.

those indents on the lugs are very interesting too...i'll need to pick their brains some during this process and get some more information...definitely a lot of thought went into these...minus the siping haha

Wheeler Lake is on my list of trails that i want to run for sure, just not sure how to squeeze everything into 2-3 days. I think the thinking behind running CG on Saturday was because quite a few want to watch the big dogs come up Carnage Canyon. If you dont end up having to go back early Sunday I would be more than happy to run it Sunday. We'll figure it out, see ya in a few days!
