Pulled the trigger on Scorpion SGS gloves in Hi-Viz. I was going to wait out for the black or white to come back in stock, but I think I will start moving towards Hi-Viz as I upgrade my gear. It may save my life one day so why not. Also added some Motul Helmet Cleaner with my order.

Updated future plans with my current gear research. Not sure when I'll be upgrading my gear, but planning on pretty much doing a complete revamp besides the Scoprion gloves I just ordered.

Shoei RF-1200 helmet in Hi-Viz, some type of Hi-Viz leather jacket, textile pants, and Alpinestars MX-1 boots. I'll probably keep all my old gear at that time just in case though.

I keep my old gear. Even the shit i've wrecked in (save for the helmets, they get trashed). I'd rather tear up my old gear on the trails vs my new gear

I pulled off the side of the road once onto a road with a couple pieces of gravel on it...does that count? :)

Did my first chain adjustment on the bike. It was on the outer limits of slack so decided to tackle it. It is certainly a PITA but not terrible. Found out the metal they use for the locking nuts on the swingarms is very bad...was stripping the corners bad so I got some vise grips and they even barely could hold on without stripping. I'll see if I can find the part number out and get another nut or see if I can match at the hardware store.

Also cleaned and lubed the chain and rear sprocket. Realized I have put my first 500 miles on the bike! :woot: Bought it at 8,600 and am at 9,151 now.

Matched the locking nut at the hardware store and replaced them on the bike. It is a M8x1.25 but the nut itself is now 13mm instead of the OEM 12mm for my reference.

Tried again with the extra wheel tape I had. It's not perfect from closer than 3 feet away and it kills my "OCD" to not be exact, but it's as close as I could get with that damn applicator and tape.

I'll have to see if the adhesive actually stays since it was not looking good after application on the ends, but I'll keep it on there for now.

I like it as long as I'm further than 3 feet away :)

I've thought about trying it in gold on mine....thinking it would look out of place on a dirt bike though...

I could photoshop it for you tomorrow if you want...it might look out of place like you said though.

Just send me the color you want and I'll do it.

Reflective is up to you but definitely get the install tool. It is still fairly difficult even with the tool to get it right, without it would be downright impossible.

This particular company's install tool is another $23 so no rim tape for me. That shit is just too expensive for tape.

Scorpion SGS gloves in Hi-Viz came in today but I'm out of town at my GF's house so I will have to wait to Wednesday afternoon to inspect them. My dad has very similar hand size to me though so I asked him to try them on for me and he said they fit well. I was nervous since they are an European fit with the XL size I ordered and normally I wear medium gloves. Hopefully they will be good.

Gonna work with my buddy probably in two weeks and make about $300 so I might order the Rev-It pants sooner rather than later. I will most likely just save it and do more research though. Tired of being too impulsive like I was with my truck and regretting purchases because I didn't research options enough.
