The last two Slick Rock trips were both cancelled due to snow. Who'd have thunk after such a mild winter snow would screw us in April and May?!? Let's make this one happen!

Slick Rock Trail. Run it that Saturday 8/29 starting from Lake Alpine. Camp on the trail Friday and Saturday. Head home Sunday. Updates to come on exact locations to camp.

There will be rocks there. Some of them big. We'll be driving over them. You should have a lift and sliders at a minimum. Aftermarket bumpers and skids def recommended. Trail changes too much to say full armor required but I think you'll damn well want it. I'll be testing out my new Relentless trans and xfer case skids.

Wives, gf's and kids are def ok, though I think mine will be staying home for this trip. Bring yours. Or don't. Whatever. Just come WHEELING!!!!!!!

    Friday Afternoon Convoy - Meet at In-n-Out Pleasanton (6015 Johnson Dr)at 3pm
    BudMan (camping Saturday)
    JohnboyTRD (+Kevin) (camping Saturday)
    Akamrkent (camping Saturday)
    Rames (camping Saturday)

Friday Meeting Convoy in Angels Camp 5-530pm
    552jrider (camping Saturday +1?)
Can you give us a good location to meet you in town?

Friday Meeting at Camp on Trail
    Bmase11 (camping Saturday)
    @CalTacoma09? (camping Saturday)

    Saturday Meeting on Trail 930am
    Bjmoose (camping Saturday)
    Pdugan6 (camping Saturday)
Jason (SAS Explorer) (NOT CAMPING SATURDAY)

    Am I missing anyone?

I seen a LX470 run the trail but he was built with bumpers and sliders on 35's and he had a hell of a time lots of pulling cable.

Last I went: 33, sliders and lift is all you need. I wouldn't go with street tires tho. I'm on 295, sliders and no lift, I wouldn't hesitate going.

Was it blue? By chance? Hey at least he is using it for what it's meant to do..

If don't end up going to CruiserFest I am down... Still up in the air... I really want go see the New 70 series they are releasing(only in Japan). One of the guys from Toyota is supposedly going to be there to chat about it... I wished they would bring that thing to America..

If I still have my 4runner and can afford it, I'll go. Probably drive up Saturday, spend the night and leave Sunday.

Sliders are on order from BAMF. I might take the weekend and put that aux fuel tank in. I can also go diving that weekend. Or I can go backpacking. I was also thinking of showing up and riding my mountain bike. The trail is short but with my poor fitness and altitude it might take 45 minutes to 2 or 3 hours to ride.

You can definitely park and go backpacking. In my video, I made sure to note the three college chicks from Cal that were through hiking the trail we were driving on.
