Let's go all the way back to the beginning. Fall of 2005, the new vehicles for 06 were rolling out and we had a 2002 Camry. We recently moved out to a rural area and my parents decided that we needed a truck because a sedan was not cutting it. Ended up with a black 2006 Toyota Tacoma SR5 Sport package, yada, yada, yada. 7 years later, I have my license and this truck.

I haven't done much to the truck, but here's what I've done so far:

    Suspension:
-Revtek 3" front spacer 1.5" rear block

    Tires:
-BFG AT/KO 285/75R16 on Dick Cepek Torque

    Exhaust:
    -Flowmaster 40 Series

    Exterior:
    -Smittybuilt Sidesteps Black
    -BPFabricating Raptor Satoshi

    Lighting:
    -D2S Retrofit 35W w/ 4300K bulbs
    -DEPO LED Euro Taillights

    Interior:
    -Pioneer AVIC-5000 NEX deck
    -Kenwood Excelon door speakers
    -2x10 Kenwood Excelon Subs
-500W Kenwood Amp to the subs

    Goals:
    -Black Diamond pattern toolbox
    -FOX or ICON coilovers.
    -35s
-Dual pipes straight out the rear
    -Paint

I couldn't find any pictures of the truck completely stock, but here's a picture from about 2 months ago.

Very nice, I need to do some research and get my pioneer unit working with my iPhone.

Biggest setback on mods to the truck. I've wanted one of these since I started playing and I saw one at a good price so I jumped on it.

thanks! What iPhone do you have? All I did was update my 5S one day and when I plugged it in, the ApplePlay started up. I think it's compatible with the 5 and up.

You should've gotten a cable to run out the back of your unit that you can plug an iPhone charger into. I ran that out the back, under the center console and hooked up my charger to that. You may have to go into the settings and turn CarPlay on. I'm not sure where it would be, but if you disconnect your battery, you will have the option to turn it on right at the start up screen.

Currently making the raptor satoshi. This is definitely a lot harder than I expected. It's been about 4 days. I wasn't pleased with the bondo work once the paint dried so I stripped it all off and re-bondo'd the grill and sanded it much finer. Went from 80, 220, 400, 600, then 1,000. I'm racing the clock to move-in day. Hopefully today I'll put down paint again and maybe the anchors will hold the mesh.

Right before I reattached the two pieces. I just used zipties because that's what HomerTaco put in his DIY guide and the man has over 150 people on the waiting list so why not?

The paint on my grill was shot from the billet grill I'm assuming so after seeing how the eyelids came out, I decided to sand down the exterior shell and repaint it with a rattle can. Honestly, it turned out pretty good. At first, I was displeased with the lack of shine. Then I hit it with some rubbing compound and it started sparkling. I finished it with some polish and here's the end result. I plan on getting the truck repainted soon so rattle can was fine with me. IMG_1006.jpg
