My ancient Samsung non-smartphone worked flawlessly with the Entune on my 2015 Tacoma. Everyone talked me into getting a smartphone and I picked the Galaxy s6. Now, one time I get in the truck, it links up with the Entune and the next time it does not. Or sometimes, I look at the display and the phone is connected and the next time I look, it is dis-connected. Took phone back to ATT store and the guy played around with it for awhile and said that the problem must be in the software of the Entune system. Anyone else having any issues with this? Thanks.

Does the S6 still have "Car Mode", or whatever they call it now? If so, that may be the problem, as car mode allows you to use nav, and use the phone's mic to voice dial etc, not bluetooth. On my S5, I had to go into the settings menu, then app manager, and found that you couldn't disable car mode. So I cleared all data, closed out of app manager, then made sure bluetooth was connected to the deck. With phone in hand, parked, I hit the phone button on my deck. It asked me, what program I wanted to use, and I chose Google Voice. No more problems. YMMV.

I am having the same issues with my Samsung S6. I have a 2015 TRD offroad 2015 tacoma with entune-no navigation. I was able to pair the device using Bluetooth for phone and music but it unsynch's then synch's back up. It won't keep a steady connection. Also having issues with messaging. It sometimes synchs text messages then next time in the truck it acts like I never synchd messaging and asks me to synch again. Then it won't synch messaging at all. Tried the phone on a chevy cruze rental and it worked fine the whole time I had the car.
Googled the issue and it seems there are other people reporting issues. Some say disconnect and reconnect truck battery and another said they had their entune replaced under warranty.

I just got an S6 a few days ago, haven't noticed any problems. I have noticed if you turn your Bluetooth off when you leave the truck, it does make it difficult to resync when you get back in the truck. I've just been leaving Bluetooth active on my phone and it seems to jump right back every time. I also noticed if you close all the apps, it makes you reopen the music player before it will play any mp3s for me...

I never had any problems for the first couple of weeks after I got the new phone. Not sure what has happened, but it does not work well at all now.

Just got off the phone with Toyota and they said that they never heard of any problems with this. I am ready to smash the phone with a sledgehammer. Phone connects when you start truck but dis-connects 5 minutes later. ATT has no answer for the problem either.
    Total B.S.

I have the S6 and the phone connects all the time, but if streaming music from the phone. I have to start it on the phone every time it unpairs with the truck unless I leave the app open all the time on my phone, or I have to re-pair to the truck if I connect to something else(like another vehicle or Bluetooth speaker). It also freezes up if you try and skip too many songs and it seems the signal kinda sucks. It does stupid thing in my VW, too. So it's must be the phone. I had the S5 before and never had any problems.. I don't see any "car mode", nor did my S5 have such a thing.

I may be incorrect, but.... I have a Samsung S3. Yes old. It worked perfect until Entune did an update. Now I do have intermittent connection problems. Check the Entune app in the Playstore. Read the reviews. It looks like since a recent update alot of people are having the issues. Hopefully Entune will release a new update with bug fixes.

I have issues with me LG G4. Never had any issues with my Galaxy S5. I lose connection with Bluetooth. And can't even use my steering wheel controls with Pandora at times. Also phone hangs up randomly when talking. Frustrating.

Finally realized that my old phone was still paired up with the system. After un-pairing the old phone, my new phone has been connected for the last two days. Hopefully, that was the problem.

you just got lucky, mine still screws up all the time and it's the only phone that is paired. I'm pretty sure it's the truck, not the phone. mine works fine in my Subaru with a JVC Nav unit and will stream without ever starting the app from the phone. Truck requires me to start the app on the phone and it is always screwing up, sometimes I even have to shut the truck off AND restart my phone to reconnect

S4 active here. I had issues at first with connection issues resetting head unit etc. Dealer did an update and it's been great.

I'm planning on getting s6 active in november. Hope it won't be an issue.

Worked good for about 3 weeks and I just noticed that it didn't connect last night on my ride home from work. Stay tuned.

I have had no issues with my S6, other than having to start the music app on the phone for it to play. I get incoming calls caller ID text messages, all the good stuff.
I have a 2015 with Entune- no navigation.

Have had the S6 since it was released and it is paired up with my 2015 Tacoma DC TRD Sport. So far no problems. No problem with it on my other two Toyota products.
