Every part you add to your vehicle has some sort of "possibility" to malfunction. I suggest you remove every aftermarket part from your vehicle to avoid any such possibility.

Yes things have the possibility of failing but weighing that against what you're getting in return is where I'm coming from. CV are cheap and easy to replace.

While yes there was one real bad case of a diff drop gone bad. The real thing is on our 2nd gens it does not do much to help angles... I think someone calculated it at 1 or 2 degrees.

What are you using the truck for OP?

If you are off roading then don't do a diff drop kit. The purpose of an off road lift is to increase clearance. You negate that with the diff drop. It is cheaper to replace boots than a differential.

If it is a street truck, put in the diff drop. Street trucks are not at risk for busting up a differential so you just do damage to the boots. Then you end up replacing boots for no reason.

This thread filled up with bull shit so fast.
I am not sure why so much extreme bias develops with some topics.
Simple topics turn into these huge clusterfucks.

    Errybody calm down.
