name is Kevin, some of you may know me from NC4x4.com, been over there for years, had multiple 4Runners, couple Camrys, couple of Hilux trucks, built a few scrapped a few, blah blah blah.
Recently acquired an '08 SR5 DCSB 4x2, 255k on the clock, ALL of it highway miles. It ain't pretty, it runs well, and it was priced right .

Still feeling this crate out, newer than most of the stuff I'm used to actually working on, my current 4Runner is '97 SR5 5spd 4x (no magic button) 200k miles, the Mrs. has commandeered this and left her '11 Camry SE to sit, so, it (Camry) will be for sale soon.

Ok, where to start on the pile, it looks like ass, I'm thinking a wrap of some sort, hail damage and neglected paint pretty much negate any real body work.
It will primarily be a back up ride, camper hauler, weekend warrior, family truckster. Don't need as a DD, have company ride for that. Mostly it will probably sit.

The reason for getting this DCSB is to allow sale of Camry SE, it's too nice to let sit, we've put 24k on it since purchase in Dec '11. 4000 since last July. I'm not willing to let the sun kill it. 44k total miles at this time.

Live near Clayton NC, may see if there are any locals I can steal ideas from.

Already planning a tube over bed/bike rack, have to check a lot of the mechanical out, may do water pump and idlers, they've never been done, did plugs the other day, not as bad as I expected, cabin filter was full....o_O, new tires, new windshield, new driveshaft ( un-needed dealer upsell to original owner, good for me) needs a good cleaning.

    Anyway, Howdy
