Saw this posted on the local Craigslist. I can't tell which brand they are from the pictures. They claim they're the only ones with sun/star roofs but I thought CVT has them as well.

Thanks guys. I'm new here btw..

But $$$. Haha.Seriously though, I'm still shopping around, just saw the ones on craigslist. Thought maybe somebody might have tried them before. Trust me though I definitely believe in spending a little more money for a higher quality product.

They are all probably made in the same factory, only minor differences between the companies.. That being said I love my Tepui and wouldn't change a thing

Wait your worried about price?? Thats listed for $1500! You could get a well known brand (tepui or CVT) for that price or maybe a little more. My ruggedized Tepui Autana is now $1750 I believe, may be a little less, but for that you get a ton more with the tent (anti condensation mat, thicker material etc..). Message @Box Rocket and he can get you a discount, along with top notch customer service

Yeah seems kinda steep for a "demo model" of a brand I haven't heard of. Thanks for the info and a POC for Tepui!

I saw the same thing. Good thought about the tepui prices. Couldn't find any information on the manufacturer or any reviews online of those RTTs.

I asked around on the FJCruiser forum if anyone recognized the pics. They say this is an "Oden Design" tent. The FJC pictured in the ad lives near one of their members, but isn't a member of the forum.

The website really sucks, but at least you have a name you could do some searches with.

Just got this pm over at the FJC forum:

Hi, I saw you inquired about the rtt in the for sale thread. Sorry I've been on the road for the past couple of weeks and haven't been checking the forum.
The guy selling the tent is a friend of mine, I actually have one on my truck as well. It's a no brand tent, but it's the exact same tent as the arb simpson. I'm on a two weeks vacation and have used the tent several times to sleep my wife, my 6 years old, my 2 years old, and myself. It's not comfortable, but it works if you have to. I'd say it's perfect for two adults and a child. The mattress is memory foam, and it has great ventilation. I'm neq to the rtt, and I'm able to set it up in 15 minutes. I leave my sleeping bags and everything I need for sleep in the tent and fold the whole thing when I'm done. You can contact him and he'll be able to answer any questions you have 7204547873.
