    Hi All,

wondering if anyone here has installed aftermarket seat heaters (like these) in a seat with airbags in it? I ordered them and didn't consider the fact they were in there till now and don't want the damn things blowing in my face if i start pulling the seats apart.

Anyone had success or failure with the installation?

    Your insights are most appreciated.

    Thanks,
    jd

If you get some good seat covers (wet okole, katskins, etc) you can just stick the heaters under the fabric and not have to do any modifications to your seats. Worked great for me with the wet okoles anyway and I like how they look a lot more than the stock seat fabric. The only thing I noticed is it takes the heat about as long to get thru the neoprene as it takes for the engine to warm up the cabin, at which point there's no use for the seat heaters anymore.

Otherwise I'd say just pull the seat out of the truck before you do any cutting. If you nick any wires then don't plug anything back in until you have them repaired.
