Removing Exhaust Bolt

I have been trying to remove my exhaust bolt and it isnt going too well. I have tried spraying wd-40 and pb blaster on the rusty bolt, but no luck. In the process the bolts got a little stripped. Any advice on how to remove it? I dont feel like paying a shop to do it for me and my friend has removed his from his older Tacoma with no problems.

 

When I was a mechanic in the 1970's a little heat always did the trick. You have to heat what the bolt is going onto or the nut on the end. Little butane torches are made these days one can get into most any place. I have had exhaust manifold bolt holes cherry red with no adverse effects, although those were cast iron.

You do need to be aware of fuel, brake and rubber lines neat by and possibly shield them from the heat with a small piece of metal.
