Hey Fellas, I've been trolling the threads the past month or so and I'd figure I finally join the party. Here's my quick story, I've owned a few FJ's back in high school, a few Toyota pick-ups (1993,1995), a few 2nd Gen 4runners' and a 2013 Taco Sport DC.(Bilstein lift, w/285's, I purchased the 2013 Taco with 6K miles approx in early 2014 and loved it. I had a lapse of reason a few months ago and traded her in for a 2015 4runner Limited for the wife. My thinking was to wait for the 2016 model and get into one of those. Well I don't want to turn this into a I dislike the 3rd Gen's but I's not right IMO. It kinda looks resembles Dodge Dakota again JMO. Anyways to my question.

I have decided to jump into a 2015 DC this time in silver sky, my last was super white, I noticed that the local dealers are starting to discount them approx 2K. The OffRoad I'm looking at shows a MSRP $34200, they marked it down to $32,200. So you guys think I could get them to knock off any more $$? I talked to a sales guy a few days ago, he explained Toyota will allocate more 2016's to the dealers with the least 2015's, so I'm guessing they want to move them fast. Should I wait a few more months? thanks for the input.

Bilstein 5100's w/ Eibach coil overs in front (set at 3" of lift). Front diff drop kit. Extended Bilstein 5100's in the rear. Deaver 2" AAL in rear w/ axle shims. 285 x 75 r 16 Goodyear Duratracks. Wheelers steelies type B, AFE cold air intake. Sway bar delete. All Pro Apex front bumper (rattle canned Rustoleum primer + flat black). Plasti-dipped emblems. Mud flaps removed.
The demand for these trucks is pretty high. Therefore the price doesn't usually have a lot of wiggle room. You could attempt getting it for a little cheaper but I wouldn't expect to get it for any less than $31,500. Just my two cents.

some of this, a little of that
if you found what you like then I would take it, wait too long and you might not be able to get what you want in a 2015

Agreed. Saving a few hundred isn't worth much if the truck sells and you cant get the color/options you want.

Where does the RS4 fit in the picture?

Yes that makes sense, I'm in Central Oregon too and there is only one Toyota Dealer here unless I drive to Salem or Eugene which are over 2 hours drive. The RS4 is my garage queen. Another reason why I need to get back into a truck asap, I've been putting unnecessary miles on it. thanks for the input.

The commish actually misspelt my name which should be "nighhawk", I chose it from "stepbrothers" lol, I guess I didn't think about spelling with a K for this forum.

That's probably the best description of the 3rd Gen I've heard so far.
