130k on my 07' V6. Driving to Alaska next month and taking care of all the maintenance needs. I'll be changing the belt and was just curious what the consensus was for changing the drive pulleys? I don't have any squealing or squeaking noise at this point.

Spin them by hand, if you here clicking or feel clicking then replace it while you're there. I had to replace my upper idler pulleys around 34k due to a slight noise.

If it were me having been to AK more than once I would change them while you have belt off then pack the old one's along with the belt as spare's If your driving the Alcan it can be a long time and distance between parts store's and if you find one it aint cheap.

Thanks guys. Didn't think about saving the old as spares. As a veteran traveler, any advice for a first timer?

I am not much of a traveler, but I wouldn't bother saving pulleys and a belt when space is so tight as is.

Unless you have a supercharger, then keeping an extra belt would be smart.

As an experienced traveler I know you cant carry a spare every thing but I would never even think of heading into the wilderness with out at least a qt of oil, a gallon of coolant, jumper cables and a spare fan belt, and enough tools for a simple road side fix. If your driving to AK. believe me you are goin into the wilderness. the road is mostly paved but some sections are always under construction. If your driving I would highly recommend you pick up a copy 'The Milepost Alaska travel planer". About $30 on Amazon. and plan on the road trip of a life time
Oh and one more thing Duct Tape and Zip Ties are your friend.
