It's a diesel car engine with an extra turbo. It's better to keep it simple and use one turbo.

Why is that? Sequential turbos isn't rocket science. That methodology has been around for more than 20 years. So long as you don't use junk vacuum lines and crappy solenoids (like my RX7) it should work brilliantly.

Either way, the Amorok gets glowing reviews from what I've read. So car engine or not, it's certainly not junk.

I've heard some good things about the amarok, but since every taco head is a full blown off roader; how will the all wheel drive and no two speed transfer case fare?

Funny, Toyota was saying they weren't going to do a diesel because of the increased cost of roughly $3000, yet they increase the cost anyway, and no diesel...

That cannot be the new Frontier, right? It looks like complete shit. Worst looking truck I have ever seen in my life, including the H2 SUT, Subaru baja, you name it! No need to wait at all on that heap of dumbness.

Yes, but those are ginormous. Also, have you followed what the body repair costs are on the alloy bodies? Yikes. For towing that would be great, but it is just too big for my needs.

You still can get a basic truck though, yeah the repair cost is ridiculous...not sure why Ford is focusing so much on the aluminum panels, it did nothing for fuel economy...nor did the EcoBoost. A simpler fix would of been to toss a small diesel in the F150's...and perhaps in the F250 as smaller option than the 6.7. The pissing contest with torque has gotten ridiculous...typical 'Murica...bigger is better..I guess....

I get what you're saying though...really a shame we can't get a bare bones small truck. Heck with this re-do, it has gotten even further away...they killed the 5 lug, and the regular cab...can't even get a manual trans in the base model anymore, have to buy one of the blinged out models to get it.

I dunno, Toyota is loosing this long time fan boy.

They are not reliable, I can tell you that. And the Amarok is built in Argentina for the Latin American market.

Do people even go to malls anymore? Seems most people just go to Walmart or order stuff from Amazon. No wonder there are so many fatties out there.

easy for me, nissan's don't have nearly the reliability reputation that toyota has, especially when you get up to 80K+ miles... if i was planning on keeping my truck for about that or less, i'd be more open to considering a nissan.
