If your headlights are on the way out you may want to buy new ones if you're doing the retrofit. I just rebuilt my retros into new depo housings because the oem lights were oxidizing fast. I had lost easily 20% of my output because of the hazy lenses along with having hotspots all over the beam output.

    So this happened today...

It was only a matter of time.

@tubbsisland - How much were those replacements at SDHQ?

got out and did some wheeling and shooting today with Dunk. Tried a different route at Widowmaker today.. the far, far right steep climb.. where the Range is lined up at.. Lol he was tryin.. him and the Jeep just couldnt make it. took me 3 attempts (needed to switch to 4HI, locked, and in low gear.) never been up that side and holy shit is it unexpected. lol very narrow, and just drops you into the main ascent trail, off camber.. had to do a 3 point to make it down in the tight canyon. lol

gave it a quick spray down afterwards

You could spend $40 on those boots, or you could burn it to the ground and use the insurance money on a 3rd gen Tacoma, just saying

Also, someone want to proofread my for sale ad and tell me if I'm missing anything:

    1996 Toyota 4Runner

Up for sale is my 1 owner 1996 Toyota 4Runner. This car was built in February of 1996. My Dad purchased it from Toyota of Escondido in April 1996. A few months later in July, I was born. This is the vehicle that drove me home from the hospital and the vehicle I drove to high school and college. Which is pretty cool. This thing means a lot to me and I’ve put countless amounts of money, blood, sweat, and tears.

The reason for the sale is simply I need something different. This truck deserves to be driven around town and shown off. Driven to the desert and driven hard. I simply don’t have that kind of time anymore. I’m driving around 18,000 miles a year driving from San Diego to college in Phoenix and back. I need to be driving something I don’t care about putting that many miles on.

    Basic Specs:

    1996 Toyota 4Runner 4x4 SR5
    5-Speed Manual
    Evergreen Pearl
    Blue/Grey Cloth Interior
    193,xxx miles

Although this truck does have nearly 200,000 miles on it, almost every single nut and bolt has been gone over or replaced. At 176,000 miles, I had the motor replaced with a 92k mile motor and every single seal was replaced inside the engine, including timing belt and water pump. Here’s the rest of the maintenance history since I started driving it. We still have all service receipts since new in a folder that I will include with the car.

yeah.. its been showing wear for awhile now. was cracking and fins have been rubbing. Talked to Cliff last time I was at SDH about replacing mine, he convinced me to just wait till the inevitable happened. so now the time has come. lol

So I accidentally put 91 in the taco today. It's the first time to my knowledge that I've done this and it felt like a whole new truck. Seemed a bit louder and beefier. Is this typical or was I just imagining it? Haha
