I'm sure you guys are right, I was just wondering why the page would stay like that. Pretty easy for someone who hasn't used a filter like that before to go WTF.

Meh, I use a Volant with a Donaldson anyways so it doesn't apply to me but it seems like the AFe dry is extremely popular on here.

Description did not change with my change in selection. That was the issue. Rather than saying, like Rocklobster did, that the description was wrong you just kept throwing out the link. I get what Dry means, but to see oiled still under the description is a bit of a curve ball, no?

    Anyways, moving on.

I like the look of that AEM one looks very simple, but useful.

Alright! Thanks everyone! Next question. Think I read somewhere about a code coming up if using a dry filter with the SC. Ever heard of that? Maybe I should buy one and give it a try?

I never saw the drop down either......My bad.

Talked to AFE. Yes, some get the P101 code with the oiled and the SC. Some can get the code with the dry and the SC. The dry is less airflow. It's also reusable. I wanted a replaceable paper filter.

Ahh well, I'll stick with the one in the SC kit for now. Cleaning/oiling isn't that big a deal, I just don't have the time anymore, I'll just have to do it.

    Thanks, been fun!

i dont think u will find a paper one that TRD will say is OK for the blower.

ur moving more air than stock, I think thats why they dont leave the stock paper one in there.

i dont understand...............why do u want to keep buying filters over and over again?

    maybe Im going potato again

No, I actually wanted to know. Got a bit outta hand, was kinda fun eh?

I was hoping for a replaceable paper filter with unobtainium fibers for that 3 second pit stop replacement in a potato box. Ohh and butt dyno increases.

That code is exactly the code which @novanut21 has. He currently has the oiled filter. He's ordering the Pro Dry S.

Same scenario with any oiled filters. K&N or other. Oiled filters almost always do that on MAF equiped vehicles.
