I vote for the BFGoodrich KO2, but the picture shows the original KO btw.

I had duratracs for 30,000 miles and they were extremely noisy, seriously the noisiest all terrain I ever had. I put Ko2's on about 6,000 miles ago and they are very quiet, the tread depth is a little less, the ko2's seem to do just as well off-road in mud and sand. I still managed to get stuck in the same spot with both. Before the duratracs I had the old bfg all terrains. I think the new model is quieter.

I'm extremely curious to try the KO2's. I am currently running the Duratracs with 56K miles on them. They are getting noisy but still have a decent amount of tread left. Anyone ran both the Duratracs and the KO2's? I wan't to try the KO2's, but I have been very happy with the Duratracs. Never expected to get 56K miles on an all terrain.

If your truck will see some snow, go with Duratracs.

I've heard Duratracs have sidewall issues, that's why I bought my KO's back in November.

My KO's are quiet and performed well in anything I have put them through - that includes 6ft / 2m of snowfall this year.

I have not had the new KO2 in snow yet but my old bfgs were just as good in the snow as the duratracs I had were, still needed four wheel drive to get anywhere in the deep stuff. I honestly would not buy the duratracs again. Good tire just too noisy for me and my truck has additional sound proofing. I put it in after a month with the duratracs.

I'm running 285/75R16 Duratracs on my Sierra. I've been very happy with them. I have around 20k miles on them and they have around 60% tread left. They were very quiet when I first got them but they're starting to make quite a bit of noise in corners, although they're still fairly quiet otherwise. Excellent in the winter, far better than any other tire I've had. Sorry this pic isn't a Tacoma heh:

Either or will be a toss up, ko2's are usually a little bit cheaper.

My duratracs have vibration issues that's why they will be replaced with the KO2 this week...but I have C rated ones in 265...everyone else with the 285 E rates ones seem to be OK

I ran Duratrac for 25k and am now on KO2 with about 1k miles..

The feel similar and perform the same in dirt.

In wet conditions the KO2 seems a little more sure footed.

seems that way - that's why they will have to go

I like the look, but function over form when it comes to tires

Anyone tried the Kellys? They look very similar to the Duratracs and the list price is about $10 less in a 265/75/16. Price difference could just be advertising. I know Dunlop and Goodyear are owned by the same company and I am thinking Kelly must be too. If you go to the Kelly website and scroll down through the tires you will eventually see Goodyears.

Today I just had a close call when a lady ran a stop sign in front of me, I slid a good 10 feet doing 20 mph and I remember why I didnt like the original KO tires, plus these are super easy to spin tire in first and 2nd VS my old Duratracs.

I called discount tire and ordered Duratracs to swap out in a few days..

After giving the KO2 a few weeks and around 1k miles I cannot recommend them over Duratracs.

If this incident had happened with my old wheels and tires I wouldnt have slid like I did.
