I've watched a few videos and still can't tell. Is there height adjustment on the seats? As in can I move the base up and down? Or are we stuck with front to rear adjustment only?

Is that knob lumbar support? Weird place for it. It almost looks like a height adjustment. Maybe someone that's seen the truck would know. Maybe seat tilt?

I think the knob adjust the front/rear tilt of the seat base. I haven't adjusted mine in quite a while, so I forget. I think you could raise the back of the seat up some with that, but not by a lot.

Knob is lumber adjustment. No height adjustment at all.

My bad, I was thinking of my wife's 4Runner. It has power height/tilt/forward/backward and lumbar. Messed with my knob on the way to work (LOL, almost edited that, but it's funny), and it is definitely lumbar.

Hmm, I wonder if you could put powered 4Runner seats in a Taco? I like my TRD seats and wouldn't do it, but that would be an interesting mod.

I was in the truck on the Canadian Tacoma tour and can 100% confirm the seats have no height adjustment - only lumbar. Seem worst in comfort too compared to current TRD seats but that's only from me sitting in the for five minutes and only my opinion.

Balls. I was really hoping for height adjustment. Being able to lower the seat in the our 4th Gen 4Runner really made it more comfortable. Hell, even my POS Mazda 3 has height adjustment. WTF Toyota.

My first vehicle, a 1987 Isuzu Trooper had a height adjustable drivers seat.

    Balls is right.

But luckily, when I test drove a 15 OR, the seat height seemed very comfortable to me.

Maybe they made the 3rd gen with adjustable seats that may fit in the 2nd gens :) One can only dream. Either way, I'll be scouting out the junk yards for rolled TRDs

Pretty sure the limited has height adjustable seats. That's the round knob in the video floating around. Haven't seen the other seats.

That's because height adjustment is bad.

    Just like disc brakes.

    And boxed frames.

    And new platforms.

I'm pretty sure that knob you're talking about the same as the current one. It's not for height, unfortunately.

That sucks. Oh well. Won't stop me, just would be nice. I've always liked my seats adjusted higher.

Well no problem in the Tacaoms then. They're definitely higher more than lower.

Not in my opinion. They have a car like seating position(lower) and not at all truck like(higher).

Ya, I guess my statement is pretty realtive regarding height. I'm a taller guy so I'm in the "it's too tall" category, while I can drive in a chevy and have plenty of room. But that's not necessarily the seat height. It's the cab roof height that is the difference.

And the cab measurements are the main reason Tacoma seats sit the way they do, they sacrifice seat adjustment and can height for ground clearance...and on 2nd gens ruin it anyway due to a shitty exhaust crossover. On a side note the Tacoma is more of a "you fit to the truck the truck doesn't fit to you" sort of deal lol.
