What are these rubber plugs for?

    Was looking at the pinch weld on the edge of the cab. Saw these rubber plugs.
    Anyone know what the hell they are for?

    In the pics below (which are slider pictures really) you can see the plugs I am referring to.

    (Not my truck but found while searching)

    Plugs I am talking about are under the edge of the door and above the slider.

    They are just plugging the hole... keeping water from getting into places it shouldn't be.
