New member intro

I have owned my 2005 Tacoma Pre-Runner reg. Cab short bed. 5 speed manual since new. After driving several other trucks I knew this was it as soon as I sat in it. I owned a previous Tacoma, an '81 but totaled it. At least that's what the insurance did for me. A few months later I received a parking notice from the Long Beach PD identifying the once totaled Tacoma as back on the street. I took that as a good sign that these trucks never die. My current Tacoma has 113k miles on it. Never had the clutch replaced. Always serviced at the dealer. Has never been a problem with anything. A few years ago I was investigating performance and suspension packages through a couple of the aftermarket businesses in the area. I may re open that again if I decide on keeping it.
I am looking at the new truck market. I am finding it extremely difficult to move away from the Tacoma brand. That being said my Tacoma does show some age and am gradually replacing things more for cosmetic reasons than performance.
I hope to gain a lot of good information from this forum on what others are doing and what products are available and who is reliable for upgrading in my area of southern CA.
