newbie has a question

Hey guys... I'm new to the forum and have a question about buying a 2006-2008 double cab 2wd. With a budget of about $15000, am I realistic in thinking I can get one with less than 120K miles? Any help regarding buying one at this price range would be greatly appreciated!

 

Should be plenty of money. Although it does really depend on where you live; classic supply and demand. I got my '06 double cab long bed 4x4 TRD sport last June (2014) with 134,000km which is a little over 83,000 miles for $17k or $18k, can't remember somewhere in between. Just look around for a solid deal. But like I said, depends on the demand, I don't think the dealer knew what they had with the taco I bought off em. You should be able to find a prerunner for that price or even a 4x4 like I did but with a few more miles. Good luck and welcome to the forums!

 

there is one local to me ( 30 miles east of Raleigh NC ) 145k miles for 18k , '07, V6, 4wd, DCSB, radiant red. Can't touch these trucks for less than 20k with less than 125k on 'em. round here

 

Where you located OP? That's what's going to affect the price.

 

I'm in Southern CA, which probably means it'll cost me more than anywhere else!

 

Did a quick autotrader search for Fresno, not sure if that's anywhere near where you are but you can get an idea for price, there were a few white 2008 prerunner's with 129k and 150k miles for 15k and 16k. If you can stretch that budget to 20k you should be able to grab a 4x4 TRD OR or Sport package with 150k or less miles I'd say. Do lots of searching as well! Good luck!
