The suspension on my 2014 DCSB 4x4 Taco is completely stock.

If I wanted to install an aftermarket bumper in the front (185 lbs) (Fab Fours full guard), would my stock suspension take a hit?

It just so happens that every picture I see of a Taco with a FF front bumper or here on this forum also happen to have a lift or small upgrade. I'm wondering if these owners found an annoying difference in braking/accelerating performance.

Your opinions or experience is appreciated on this matter...

    Are floor mats a mod?
Yes, you will want to upgrade your suspension. With another 185# out front on stock you will end up with about .00015" of front down travel so you will bottom out often. Also it looks cool. Also chicks dig lifted trucks. Nuff said.

The bumper will add ~140 lbs over stock, you would be best served with OME 884's IMO.
It should give you slight lift.

Heh.. mine isn't the average Tacoma to be outfitted with an off-road bumper, but with my ARB, my stock front struts were crunched within a week. Bilstein 4600's went on with a level lift... the weight of the bumper brings the front end down by about ~1" from level now.
