cold air intake

    Hey so i was looking for a cold air intake online and i will see air intakes from 100$-300 is there a differance in preformance between the cheaper ones and say a k&n??? I have a 2003 tacoma v6 thanks!!

    The stock box is a CAI. It works very well.

    If you really want one, the aFe one is what I run. No appreciable difference in mpg over stock box. Get the dry filter so you don't have to worry about fouling up the MAF sensor with oil.

    There is also the deck plate mod or removing the fender well elbow to try.

    icon stage 10 kit, toytec 1" bl, 35" general x3s, 17x9.5 procomp wheels, locker anytime mod, s&b intake, blackhawk 2.1 tune,
    Go with deck plate mod if you must. Intakes wont add any power. Itl loose some on a hot day if anything

    The more expensive ones lighten your wallet more, making their performance gains greater.
