    2015 Tacoma TRD Off Road
Hello everyone. I am signing my papers on my first Toyota Tacoma on Monday. It is a 4 door TRD Off Road. I think I want to add a leveling kit and better rims and tires in the deal with a few other upgrades. I've read a lot of opinions on leveling kits with height possibly effecting CV joint issues or changes in the ride and not sure what tire size and rim I really want to do. A service tech at the counter when I was looking at rims suggested 3 1 leveling kit. Will this put me in danger of CV issues? Also I want to get a bigger set of tires but I dont want 33's, to big, but I want bigger than stock. I will be spending a lot of time in the snow but not so much in sand and not into rock crawling.

Any suggestions on wheel and tire size would be great without having to trim anything. Also about levleling and what I should have them include and Im not looking to buy new shocks or springs at this time or ever unless my driving needs change.

    Thanks for you help!

Please do a search on here and make your own decision.

I tried two different leveling kits (2 1/2" and 3"), which were a major fail. Rough ride, poor performance, waste of money.

That is pretty much the major consensus on this board.

Yeah ive been reading almost every post on here for the past 24hrs. Gets confusing after awhile. This is going to be my daily driver and as mentioned not really a lot of off roading but to camp and go snowboarding a lot so needs to be decent in snow. The guy at the Toyota dealership suggested leveling kit 3 1. Dont think i need that. Was thinking of maybe 2 1 just to get it closer to level but not have to upgrade too much else. Do you know anyone with pics of only leveling 2 1. I do read that for daily drivers leveling isnt so bad... Sorry for my ignorance but i have never owned a truck or anything 4x4. First time ever for me.
