Got my dcab, rwd,TRD sport/JbL, coming from a Titan dcab 4x4.

I like to drive the taco, city or highway but I loved to cruise the Titan on highway and listenning to the muffler. Driving the Titan in the city is jus too much if you don't need that big of a truck. The Taco is so quiet but the ride is firm like a sport sedan which I like.

Inside, the Taco is tight compared to the Titan but the seats, including the back, are much more comfortable. My 3 teenagers kids used to hate the backseats of the Titan but now they are ok with the Taco's even though it's narrower. The driver seat for the Taco, while being comfortable, sitting a bit too low which is ok but making my legs require more room. If I slide the seat back far enough to be comfortable, the steering wheel becomes too far for my arms.

For the money, Nissan gives you a lot more. I missed some of the convenient features from the Titan: One-touch up/down for both front windows, Taco offer just down for the drivers'. Garage doors interlink, Taco=none. Titan's lockable gate and cargo light, Taco=none (but the Taco has a nice slideable cleats on the rail). Remote or key-hole turn to automatically lower the windows down is not capable with the Taco. I only have the Taco for a few days but I am sure I'll find more lacking features compared to the Titan. (Oh, I hate the Titan's defrost with the AC on and you can't turn it off after one minute unless you turn off the fan or the the ignition).

Regardless, I am glad I switched and looking forward to drive the Taco more for the fun factor and not wastefully as with the Titan. Hopefully the feeling won't go away later. I also feel safer with Toyota's reliability.

Oh, what's the deal with all the emblems in the rear. And why "SR5" when my truck didn't come with it. I noticed the "SR5" in all the Tacomas, or at least the Pre-runners.

Titan -- Tacoma is not a fair comparison. The Toyota equivalent is the Tundra.

Did your Titan come with standard stability control, traction control, brakeforce distribution, and a backup camera?

I forgot to mention that maybe all the features of the Taco are in the engine/trans, not as visible. Yes you are right that Toyota gives all that as standard.

I compared the Tacoma because I paid almost the same $ for the Titan (probably demand/supply factor). Backup camera was an option so I didn't bring it up.
