    Even if 2GR, it is not the same engine code as the Sienna (Sienna is 2GR-FE). There have been a few diagrams showing a 2GR-FKS engine as being the Tacoma engine, but nothing yet firm in a Toyota statement or review. There is a chance we will see something on Monday.

    95 SAS Tacoma, 99 4runner, 16 Tacoma.
    First digit is design generation, second 2 are engine family. After the dash is specific engine features. FXE is the atkinson cycle engine. FBE is flex fuel. FSE is direct injected. So the 2gr in the new Tacoma will be very similar to the engine in the Sienna. If you look at the 1gr 4.0 and the 2gr 3.5 they are almost identical. The 1gr gets a larger stroke for the displacement. Same as the 2rz and 3rz.

    It appears to be TRD only.

    There was a document somewhere that showed a V6 SR DCSB M/T but some of the more recent dealer leaks don't show that option. It's still possible that trim exists but not from those dealers so far.

    Watching the videos and having actual object to compare to, the grill really doesn't look all that big. Is it bigger then second gen? Yes. But in the videos I don't think it looks bad at all.
