So correct me if I'm wrong, but living in NE with the amount of snow we get, wouldn't a LSD be better than an open/locked diff?

Replica- perhaps not, I'm from up north and I know all too well that the braking system suddenly stopping or even slowing one wheel won't help much if at all at a moment when traction has already become a thing. Rather avoid a problem than have it and react to it after the fact. Diff lock in the snow is overkill but on a twisty mountain road slowing down and hitting that magic switch beats having the rear break loose and causing one of those 'pucker' moments hahaha

I had a 2012 loaner automatic tacoma for a week, so it had the "Auto LSD". It had traction control. Wasn't a Sport, but I don't remember if it was an OR or just a SR5. I just remember my 08 Sport M6 without traction or ABS seemed to do better in snow. I had Terra Grapplers though, so the tires were better.

That was mainly paying homage to the FJ... But makes up for it as I can take it off and use it as a grip pad to get me out of my non-locker mud bog. Haha

I love my sport because I'm a Not a off-road driver that has a 50 mile interstate commute each day.

I get 21 mpg's and can haul the two kids and a bed full of crap.

Plus in Iowa it's awesome to have 4WD for our shitty winters.

My 2013 TRD Sport dcsb 5a 4x4 averaged 19-19.5. My same 2015 has averaged 21.3. The only two tanks below 20mpg were due to gas it didn't like. After switching it went back up again.

Don't know why I get 21 avg for mixed driving but I'll take it.
