Hey guys. I hope you don't mind me posting here since I don't have a Tacoma.

I've always wanted a Tacoma, I just never thought it would be something I could afford. The used prices on them are still very high. Anyway, I got a big promotion at work recently and now finances shouldn't be a problem anymore. I am planning on paying off my student loans, current truck ('00 sierra) and bike ('15 FZ-07) and selling both my RSX-s and truck and picking up a 2013-2015 tacoma in a year or two. I like to do a LOT of research on vehicles before I buy them, and I'd like to spend some time here learning all I can about this truck before I get one. My father had a 2004 2 door, 2wd 5-speed, manual everything Tacoma when I was still living at home ~ 10 years ago, and that was a pretty fun little truck even with zero options. One of my closest friends has a late 90's 4runner, perfect condition, and that's been an extremely good vehicle for him since he got it 14 years ago. Wife has a camry, I have a gen 2 MR2, had an avalon, always always liked Toyota. I know exactly the Tacoma I want, 2013-2015 TRD off-road (not sport) v6 auto, access cab, dark grey;now it's just a matter of when.

Thanks guys! Any common easy-fixes on the late gen-2 models or should-be-replaced-asap type stuff I should look into? Stock equipment that is sub-par or common fail points? Having not really changed much on the Tacoma for so long I don't expect there to be much. I saw someone commenting about a black headlight mod that looked very nice, that type of stuff.

Nice STripple by the way ;)
