new member - old owner!

hey all,

just posting my first thread to the forum to say hello!

I've owned various toyotas in my life - 1st car I owned at age 16 was a 1981 pickup that i turned into a lowrider... since then owned other trucks, a tercel here or there, keep coming back to toyotas for their reliability.

Currently driving a 1st gen 1995 Taco reg cab 4x4 - totally stripped model
no air, no cruise, no tach, am/fm radio only...

extremely low cost of ownership - even at 175,000 miles...I can't believe how awesome this truck is - and it seems like it just keeps getting better!

so - now for a real question. I just got back from 32 days of camping and fly fishing in Wyoming (4300 miles round trip) - and find myself thinking it's time to start making some mods to make the truck more family friendly.

my truck has the bucket seats...

there's no room for the dog in the middle between me and the wife. I know there's lots of threads on here about seat mods... but i'm having a hard time finding info for what the factory seat options where from like 1995 through say 1998 or so?

did 1st gen models have a 60/40 split bench that could function as the place for the dog?

i'm ready to start calling wrecking yards in search of a bench seat option - am i looking for something that even existed in the first place?
