    Wondering if any one can help me find some good places to fish that's away from the usual crowded areas. No I am not asking for anyone to give up their secret spots....just want to get away from the people, if that's possible, and do a little fly fishing and camping. I am definitely not afraid to hike to places and would love to take my new tacoma up new roads. Thanks

    11 Mile and Spinney Mtn Res are both great fisheries and an easy drive from the Springs, just up Hwy 24. You won't be alone but both lakes are plenty big to find some quiet and get in to some nice fish. The area below the Spinney dam that flows in to 11 Mile is known as the Dream Stream. Tomahawk State Rec area is just up the road too. Antero as well but it was drained earlier this Summer for dam improvements. The Arkansas Headwaters State Park is a little further but it seems to be fishing well this year as well.
